My favorite things????

So Anne-Marie tagged me.... here is how it got started...

Tanya Purcell came up with a great idea. Here is her idea:Whenever Oprah does her ‘Favorite Things’ show, I am always curious about the things she chooses and why. The best part of her ‘Favorite Things’ show is that she shares them with others! Well, the other day I thought to myself, “I don’t have to be Oprah to have ‘Favorite Things’. I started to think about the day to day things that I have or use that bring me some form of enjoyment. I thought it would be interesting to find out the ‘Favorite Things’ of my friends and family too. So here it goes…If money were not an issue and you wanted to load up a basket of your most ‘Favorite Things’ and give it to your friends, what would you choose and why? During your day to day life, are there things that you use each day that make you smile or feel good? Is there something that you look forward to everyday? It can be something simple, like the type of pen you use or something big like the type of car you drive. I will list my ‘Things’ and then I will tag a few of you to do the same thing. My list wont be as cool as Anne-Marie's cause I don't really have anything super wonderful.....But here they are in no particular order...

1.Joovy Caboose stroller

So this is my numero uno worldly must have. This is a stroller that a baby or infant carrier can use the front of, and on the back a toddler can sit or stand. I had been researching strollers online when I found out I was pregnant with Kelson. I really didn't want one of those big long double strollers, so when I found this I was sold. Brynlie absolutely loves it. She can hop off when she wants, or she can stand and ride when I want to cart them around fast. I love that it has a universal attachment for just about any infant carrier too. We use this everywhere. It's perfect for zoo's, parks, walking to the library....places where there's a lot of stop and go. I keep this in the back of my car always and would totally recommend it!

2. aquaphor

A few years ago we found out the hard way that Brynlie has pretty bad eczema. Scary lookin hu?? Aquaphor has saved her! After just one use I can tell a huge difference. It works really well on newborn babies who are all peely too.

3.ipod/car adaptor
I do love my ipod, but the thing that makes it the best is the car attachment. It plays my ipod through the radio of my car so every time we go somewhere we can rock out to Jo Jo's circus or Give said the little Stream. It keeps Brynlie super entertained, and I love that I don't have to bring my whole case of CD's on car trips.

4.aquafresh

So if you haven't tried this toothpaste, I so recommend it! I think it's the only name brand thing that Jeremy and I can't live without. I can't use regular toothpaste any more. My teeth just don't feel as clean afterwards. I don't know if it makes any sort of difference as far as cleanliness of my teeth goes, but we love it!

5.Portable DVD player/red box

I really don't know how our parents took road trips with us when we were little. I would lose my mind! A portable DVD player is a must have for any traveling family. I also love Redbox (as I've said before) but a great thing is that we can rent movies for us or Brynlie (for free!!!) and go on a road trip. When we get to where we're going we can find a Redbox and return the movies. Then when we are ready to come back home we can rent some more movies and return them to the Redbox here when we get home. What a convenience!

6.straightener

I have tried my fair share of hair straighteners, due to the mad volume of frizzy hair that I was blessed with. This ceramic straightener from Sally's is the best one I've been able to find. It gets so hot and works quick so I don't have to spend an hour on my hair in the morning!

Well that's all I can possibly think of. Pretty lame I know. But I have a feeling that Nicole, Jamie, Kaitlyn, Dani, Mindi and especially Mary will have some much better "favorite things". You're it!

  1. I could pretend that I never read this post! I could even pretend that I was sure you have another friend named Dani! I love Aquaphor too, my kids could be the poster children

  2. I thought I had tried everything for McKenzie's eczema. She's even been through every prescription the dermatologist could prescribe for her and nothing has worked. I will have to try that. Thank you. Adrienne

  5. I so want the joovy stroller. We already have the Phil and Teds (which I really like),but I want that one too. I'm sure Chris already thinks that we have enough strollers, so it probably won't happen.
