Birthday Brynlie

My little baby is 3 years old!! I don't know how this is possible. But Jeremy and I are having way too much fun living our second childhood through our kids.

When Bryn turned 1 I just randomly put this tiara on her head, and then when she turned 2 I figured I should put it on again. So I guess it will be her birthday tradition from now on. Her hair was so cute all curly. I'll have to do it more often.

This year was Bryn's first year to have a birthday party. She wanted a super hero one. My Mama made capes for all the kiddos and I tied the invitation to them. We were going to have the party at the park, but it started snowing like 20 minutes before the party! So we made a quick change of plans and had it at my Dads school gym. Which turned out to be much better anyway.

Jaime made Bryn the cutest cape! I'm trying to convince her to sell them.

And of course what would a super hero party be without Super Jeremy?

Kelson didn't even notice his cape at all. Brynlie wants to wear hers everywhere....so you know I'm going to put Kelson's on everywhere we go too. Don't judge me.

After all the fun and games everyone got to silly string Super Jeremy. It was so fun to have our first real birthday party for Bryn. She is such an obedient, happy, polite little girl. How lucky we are to have her in our family. She'll always be my baby......until she's in jr. high. Then we'll send her to live with you. But just for a few years :)

  7. I LOVE IT!!!! Super heros are the best. Jacob and Claire have a birthday coming up soon and my mind is blank. Of course you should put Kelson's cape on wherever you go, they are both super, in fact, I hope you have one, I think you should wear it.

  9. I would buy a cape! Tell your sister to go into business...she would have plenty to do just off of the orders from people that look at your blog!

  10. Brynlie's hair is beautiful!! Emma, the poor girl, got my genes (stringy half/wavy hair.) Hopefully she will learn to tame her hair better than I do. Anyway, the party looks awesome! It's too bad we aren't there anymore. I bet Emma and Brynlie would be good buds.

Holy-Moley...what a cute, fun birthday party. From the invitations to the capes to Super Jeremy. Wish I could have been there. I love the picture of Bryn with the curlers...you go girl, you know how to sleep with them!! I love the pic with Kelson and the B-Ball and his little tongue sticking out. I can hardly wait to see them, and squeeze them and kiss them both. Hope you had a wonderful birthday my beautiful Bryn!! Love you mucho!!

  12. Julie,
My kids aren't allowed to go to your kids parties ever... I don't want them to know what a party is like from a creative and crafty mom. Ignorance is bliss. What is with you women and your hair? Brynlie has about 5 times more hair than me, and I seriously thought she looked like she had extensions at first.

  13. WooHoo! What a fun party! I am in awe of all the fun and creative things you do...from parties to blogging to just hanging out with your family. Keep up the good work and keep sharing too. As for Super Jeremy, I think it could be Super Dweeb! I just love that guy! Love to you all.1 Aunt Karla

  14. Julie, that birthday idea was so cute!! We're going to be in Texas when Emmaline turns three, and so I'm definitely going to steal your idea for her party :) And her hair was so cute! I actually noticed how cute and curly it was, but I thought that was just her natural curl. I had forgotten about the sponge rollers...my mom used to put those in our hair all the time...maybe I'll try it and see if it works on Emmaline. But anyway, the party was so cute!!

  15. Ok, so I am a little late I realize in posting this but that is so sweet! I remember when she was born! I even have a pic of me holding her (if I find it, I will post it on my blog..) Anyways, my sister has a 3 year old boy named Austin who wants to be a super hero for Halloween this year and they are looking for a cape pattern. Do you know how they could make one like you have in these pictures? Way cute!
