4 of July

For the fourth we went to the parade downtown. Brynlie desperately wanted to see the horses. That's all she cared about.
Then we went to see Kung Fu Panda. It was pure "awesomeness". Then we went to Nicoles for a BBQ and fireworks. We were going to go see the big fireworks that night, but we got too busy watching Josh run. GOOD JOB JOSH! So we caught them on the drive home, which was just fine with Bryn. That's about the end of that.
Some other funny things about this girl....
Brynlie can not stand cleaning her room by herself. She will complain that things are too heavy and that her arms and legs hurt so so bad from all the lifting of the toys. Yeesh! So the other day I told her like 5 times to pick up all her play jewelry and put it where it goes. She just couldn't bare to lift the heavy plastic clip on earrings. It was too much strain on her back. So I told her if she didn't put them away I was going to give them all away to someone else. She quickly said "OK, I don't want them!" My plan had failed. So I started picking up the jewelry and Brynlie kept saying "Mommy, I love you..." and "Mommy, you're my favorite Mommy..." Then after it was almost picked up she said "You don't have to give all of those away. I can just keep them." I told her she should have cleaned them up if she wanted them. She then started following me all around the house singing 'I Am A Child of God' and looking at me with these little puppy dog eyes. She's a smart girl. Who can resist that?
And last night I was putting her to bed and every time I went to leave the room she'd say "But Mommy...I love you" and "But Mommy....thank you for turning the hall light on" or "Mommy...I like your shirt". She said "Hey Mommy" like 6 times in an attempt to stall me and I was getting frustrated. So finally I turned to her and said "What Brynlie? What do you want!!?" and she slowly said "Mommy....I really appreciate you." I couldn't stop laughing. Where does she hear these things?
